1. PRIVACY POLICY VillageDirect.Org respects the privacy of users. We do not disclose or sell user account information to third parties. Your email will be used only to notify you about VillageDirect.Org-related news.   VillageDirect.Org will not monitor, edit, or disclose the contents of a user's website unless obliged to do so by law or if such action is necessary to: (i) protect and defend the rights or property of VillageDirect.Org or (ii) fix or debug problems with the Yoursite@VillageDirect.Org software/service.  

2. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES As User of the service you agree that the use of the service is at Users sole risk. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. VillageDirect.Org disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.   VillageDirect.Org makes no warranty that the service will meet your requirements, or that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. Nor does it make any warranty as to the accuracy or reliability of any information obtained through this service or that defects in the software will be corrected. You understand that any material/data downloaded or otherwise obtained through this service is done at your own risk and that you will be solely responsible for any damage to your computer system or loss of data that results in such a download.   No advice or information, either oral or written, obtained by you from VillageDirect.Org shall create any warranty not expressly stated herein.  

3. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY, INDEMNIFICATION
Yoursite@VillageDirect.Org and VillageDirect.Org shall not be liable for: (i) Any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, resulting from the use or the inability to use the service (ii) Cost of procurement of substitute goods and services or resulting from any goods or services purchased or obtained or messages received or transactions entered into through this service (iii) Unauthorised access to or alteration of Member's transmissions or data, including but not limited to damages or loss of profits (iv) Statements or conduct of any third party on the service  

4. LAWS The Yoursite@VillageDirect.Org Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS All Website services provided to you by YourSite@VillageDirect.Org  (together herein referred to as "VillageDirect.Org") are provided to you subject to the following terms and conditions of service. Your subscription to any of the services listed on VillageDirect.Org indicates that you accept and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions of service. Our forums are open. Once you register, you become a "member" of the forum.

1. ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS OF USE
Your use of VillageDirect.Org indicates your agreement to the Yoursite@VillageDirect.Org Terms of Service, it's Forums and Chat Room rules, and acknowledgment of the Yoursite@VillageDirect.Org Legal Statements http://vdips.org/vdirect/legal.html. These documents may be modified without prior notice provided that the terms regarding the introduction of paid services are not altered without timely notification of all users. User's continued use of the service constitutes an affirmative acknowledgment by user of these modifications.

2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE. MODIFICATIONS TO SERVICE
Yoursite@VillageDirect.Org provides users with various web publishing and content management services, including but not limited to the ability to create and maintain a web page as well as the hosting services. In order to use the service users should provide for own access to Internet and pay any service fees associated with such access.   Yoursite@VillageDirect.Org reserves the right to change the terms of service and prices for paid upgrades without prior notification.   Yoursite@VillageDirect.Org reserves the right to delete free accounts, which have not been used for a certain period of time, following an email notification and the expiration of the warning period defined therein.  

3. USERS OBLIGATIONS AND CONDUCT
Each user bears the sole responsibility for the content published on their Yoursite@VillageDirect.Org website. Yoursite@VillageDirect.Org does not control the content posted via the service and, as such, does not guarantee the accuracy or quality of such content and cannot be held responsible for it. Use of the service is subject to all applicable local, state, national and international laws and regulations as well as to Internet-specific policies and procedures.

User agrees:
(i) not to use the service for illegal purposes;
(ii) not to publish any material that is unlawful, harassing, abusive, threatening, offensive, vulgar, obscene, harmful, libelous, invasive of another's privacy or constitutes an infringement of third party intellectual property rights.
(iii) not to interfere with or disrupt in any way the service including servers and networks connected to the service;
(iv) not to interfere with another user's enjoyment of the service.
User should indemnify and hold Yoursite@ VillageDirect.Org, VillageDirect.Org and their subsidiaries, affiliates, officers and employees, harmless from any claim or demand made by any third party due to or arising out of user's conduct, violation of these Terms of Use by user, or the infringement by user of any intellectual property or other right of any person or entity.

MEMBER CONDUCT 

You understand that all information ("Content"), whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, is the sole responsibility of the person from which such content originated. This means that you, and not VillageDirect.Org, are entirely responsible for all content that you post, e-mail or otherwise transmit via the Service. VillageDirect.Org does not control the content posted via the service and, as such, does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of such content. You understand that by using the service, you may be exposed to content that is offensive, indecent or objectionable. Under no circumstances will VillageDirect.Org, or its advertisers, be liable in any way for any content including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content, or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, e-mailed or otherwise transmitted via the Service. Views expressed on VillageDirect.Org do not necessarily reflect those of YourSite@ VillageDirect.Org, our sponsors or our advertising agencies.

1. Do not post overtly political or religious content OR promote advocacy for a particular personal, medical, legal, religious, political, or non-profit causes. This forum is not for debating controversial subjects. Limited religious references are allowed (ie. "my prayers are with you" or a brief quote as part of a larger post), but the forums should not be used to convert others.
2. Do not discuss illegal activity or threats of violence.
3. If it shouldn’t be viewed by minors, then it shouldn’t be posted to the forums or chat rooms. This is a public, family-friendly forum.
4. Do not disrespect moderators. Be respectful in both the forums and any private communications with moderators. Violations of this rule will not be tolerated.
5. Use good judgement. NEVER rely on information or opinions exchanged via the forums or chat rooms to replace necessary, personal consultation(s) with qualified professionals.
6. Do not use the Service to upload, post, e-mail or otherwise transmit any Content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, attack, insult, "flame", defame, or abuse members or non-members or otherwise objectionable; Respect other members of the community and don’t belittle, make fun off, or insult another member or non-member. "Flaming" and insults will not be tolerated (NOT EVEN ONCE!). Agree to disagree. This applies to both the forums and chat.
7. Do not post or give out personally identifiable information that you do not want known. Your personal information you provide when registering our board will NEVER be given out under any circumstances other than law enforcement agencies in a proven criminal investigation. 
8. Do not posts advertising or links to advertising or "Spam" (including signatures). Advertising or Spam is defined as posting a link for the purpose of selling, soliciting or promoting by someone that has ownership or other "vested interest" to the web site involved, including efforts to promote other online forums or web sites by web site owners. If you are a web site owner and have a link that fits into this category that you want to share, please submit it to a moderator and we will review your submission. 
9. Links about fundraising (including nonprofit fundraisers) are only permitted on the home page of member charities and forums designated for that purpose. 
10. Links to helpful web sites (commercial or otherwise) are allowed when they are posted by someone without any "vested interest" AND whose purpose is NOT to solicit, advertise, promote, fundraise, etc.
11. Do not use multiple usernames. Register and use only one username. Posting under multiple user accounts will result in administrative action (ie. banning).
12. Do not post lengthy articles. Sharing information is allowed, but the forums are not to be used to publish articles. It is an improper use of critical forum resources. 
13. Cryptic posts are not allowed. Using cryptic messages to "skirt" the rules is not permitted.
14. No SHOUTING. Remember, using ALL CAPITAL LETTERS in posts is considered yelling and rude, plus it is difficult to read.
15. No irrelevant or off-topic posts. Posts which are not relevant to the forum topic may be deleted at the moderator's discretion. 
16. No lengthy signatures. Limit signatures to 10 lines or less. Moderators will edit and/or remove signatures that are too long.
17. Report posts that violate the rules and guidelines. We will act on the report as quickly as we can. Do not reply to the offending post as that typically only encourages the poster. If there is someone on the forum that bothers you, alert your moderator. 
18. Use descriptive titles for new posts. Avoid "generic" post subjects like "Help" or "Question". You will receive a better response to your posts by being more descriptive about the content of your post.
19. You acknowledge and agree that VillageDirect.Org may preserve content and may also disclose content if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (a) comply with legal process; (b) enforce these Terms of service; (c) respond to claims that any content violates the rights of third-parties; or (d) protect the rights, property, or personal safety of VillageDirect.Org, its users and the public. 
20. Moderators have the right to edit or delete posts without prior notice that violate of the rules above. They are also responsible for promoting participation in the forums and chats.  Each moderator, being human with different life experiences, may see things through slightly different eyes and some variance is to be expected.
